Jet fuel from air
We make the aviation industry net zero ready by substituting fossil jet fuel with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) purely made from air, water and renewable electricity.
Direct air capture technology provides CO2 to a highly efficient co-electrolysis unit, that turns the CO2 and added water into syngas. The syngas is transformed into liquid hydrocarbons by a modular Fischer-Tropsch Reactor and then refined into sustainable aviation fuel. The process runs entirely on renewable energy and uses only CO2 from the air.
What makes us unique:
- Highly scalable – CO2 from the air is an unlimited carbon source. This allows for a scale-up suitable to meet the high renewable fuels demand of the aviation industry in the future.
- CO2 only from the air – Zenid closes the carbon cycle by only using CO2 from the air. Producing a sustainable aviation fuel that enables a net zero aviation industry.

Demonstration plant
More informationZenid aims to build the world’s first industrial size demonstration plant for sustainable aviation fuels made from air. Right in the heart of Europe’s largest kerosene trading area: Rotterdam Region, the Netherlands. For the future availability of fully circular jet fuel from air, it is crucial to kick-start the scale-up today. Zenid’s goal is to enable a net zero aviation industry in the long-term.
